
Marion W. Lewis King, 74, of Mansfield, died Monday evening, January 12, 2004 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after a long illness. She was born July 30, 1929, in Amherst, Virginia to Thomas J. and Robbie Lewis. Marion attended Reba Avenue Nazarene Church for a number of years. She collected salt and pepper shakers and loved baking pies, especially at the holidays. Marion was so proud of her family and enjoyed all the times spent with her grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Charles J. III and Patricia A. King of Howard, Ohio, and Jesse L. King and Lorie Smith of Shelby; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Patty and Jim Bertka of Mt. Vernon, Sheila Neighbors of Chesterville, Ohio, Thelma and Kevin Kearns of Mansfield, and Carolyn and Richard Skinner of Upper Arlington, Ohio; fourteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Sherman and Frances Lewis and Tom and Charlene Lewis, all of Virginia; a sister and brother-in-law, Joanne and Ray Pillow of Tennessee; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. King, Jr., parents; and six siblings.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Thursday, January 15 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 16 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Brian Phillips. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
