Marjorie Elaine (Ritchie) Fry

Marjorie Elaine (Ritchie) Fry, 94, of Mansfield, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Winchester Terrace Nursing Home. Born February 28, 1923 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Paul W. Ritchie and Margaret (Schafer) Ritchie Hammond.

Marjorie was a 1941 graduate of Mansfield Senior High and worked as a Dental Assistant for various dentists, retiring in 1972. Following her retirement, she became a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and playing her organ but her greatest enjoyment was taking care of her family. Marjorie was a member of Southside Christian Church.

Marjorie is survived by her children, Richard A. Fry and Nancy (Edward) Glogowski; two grandchildren, Connie (Bill) Cutlip and Paul Glogowski; three great grandchildren, Alex, Casey and Caitlyn Cutlip; and a brother, Donald L. Ritchie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband in 2011, Jack L. Fry whom she married on April 6, 1941; a son, Robert Fry; and a brother, Richard Ritchie.

Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 27, 2017 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Paul L. Lintern. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Southside Christian Church.
