Mark Montgomery, 63, of Mansfield, Ohio, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton, Ohio. Born October 15. 1958 in Mansfield, he was the son of Ossie A. and May Montgomery.
A graduate of Madison High School, Mark was a firefighter and also worked for the Brick Yard and Michael Byrne Manufacturing from which he retired from in 2018. A quiet, soft spoken man, Mark was a family man and loved spending time with them. He enjoyed cooking especially soups and stews. He loved the outdoors whether it was camping, sitting around a camp fire, boating or working in his big garden. Mark enjoyed listening to music especially classic rock and his card nights on Saturday night.
He is survived by his children, Shaun (Bethany) Montgomery, Matt (Jill) Montgomery, Jennifer Montgomery, Ryan Montgomery, Ashley Day, Kaitlyn Montgomery and Morgan Montgomery; several grandchildren; his brother, Mike Montgomery; and his sisters, Jean Haddox, Kathy (Woody) Myers and Linda Montgomery.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Rodney, Charles and David Montgomery.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
