Mary Davis

Mary J. Davis, 75, of Mansfield, died Sunday, October 28, 2007 at Mifflin Care Center. Born August 5, 1932 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of James and Katherine Weingartner Heichel. A lifelong resident of Mansfield, Mrs. Davis graduated from Mansfield Senior High School. She retired from Peabody Barnes. Mrs. Davis enjoyed spending time with her family, taking care of her dogs, Lucky and Snoopy, and working with her husband in their landscaping business. She also enjoyed painting, drawing, playing cards, and Bingo.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert A. and Charlene Davis, and Gary E. and Pam Davis of Mansfield; grandchildren, Jennifer Kevin Uhde, and Jonathan Amy Davis, all of Mansfield; step-granddaughter, Keri George Breznicki of Columbus; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ken Heichel of Florida, and David Heichel of Mansfield; two brothers-in-law, Junior and Kathleen Davis, and Robert Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Coy Davis; parents; grandchildren, Christopher and Brian Davis; brothers, Allen and James Heichel; twin brother, Earl Heichel; and sisters, Katherine Cross, and Shirley Cline.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 1, 2007 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park.
