Mary Mandy Hess, age 83, of 298 Lakeshore Drive, St. Augustine, Florida, died Monday, March 13, 2000 at Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine, Florida after an extended illness. Mrs. Hess was born May 25, 1917 in Nettle Patch, Virginia and has been a Florida resident most of her life. Surviving are three daughters, Candy Hess of Sandusky, Gloria Diane Guill and Betty Jean Bradley, both of Mansfield; two sons, John Allen Hess of Mansfield, and Rex V. Hess of St. Augustine; two sisters, Martha Stump of Tombrook, Virginia, Katherine Hudson of Tennessee; one brother, Frank Rachel of Virginia; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Sunday, March 19, 2000 from 2-6 p.m. Funeral services will also be at the Diamond St. Home on Monday, March 20, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. conducted by Rev. Wayne Castle. Burial will be at Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
