Mary Lou Collins

Mary Lou Collins, 70, of Mansfield, died Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born April 7, 1938, in Mansfield, she was the daughter of James Collins, Sr. and Minnie Lou Barnett Collins Robinson. Mary was a resident of Oak Grove Manor until her departure to be with the Lord. She loved playing Bingo and enjoyed pizza and hamburgers.

Mary leaves to mourn her passing a brother, James R. Collins of Arleta, CA; cousins, James Barnett and Diane Favors of Columbus; aunt, Willa B. Maxey of Columbus; nieces, Ashani Kendi O'Mard of Cincinnati, Ayana Robert Cunningham of Mableton, GA and Nikko Jeffrey Beale of CA; nephews, Taha Collins of Detroit, MI and Jelanie Collins of Shreveport, LA; a special caregiver, Melissa; special cousin, Ann Lindsay of Mansfield; and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Richard Collins, and maternal and paternal grandparents.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 9, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St. conducted by Pastor Scott Logan. Friends may call from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
