

Mary Lois Sanders Hill Myers passed away at her home in Mansfield, OH following a long illness Wednesday December 18, 2002. She was born on October 14, 1924 to Charles and Edith Adams Sanders in Tracy City, TN.
Mrs. Myers previously worked at Mitch's Grocery, Taylor Metal Products and Burger Chef. She retired in 1962 after a disabling back injury.
On October 8, 1938 in Decatur, AL, Mary Lois married her first husband, Mr. Buford F. Hill. They established a home in Decatur and lived there until 1951, at which time they decided to move to Mansfield, Ohio. They were together for 34 years, until Mr. Hill passed away on April 6, 1972. They had two sons during their marriage. Mary Lois remained a widow until February 3, 1979, at which time she married Carl E. Myers in Mansfield, Ohio. They established there home in Mansfield. They were together for 12 years, until Mr. Myers passed away on August 3, 1991. Mary Lois remained a widow until her death.
She dearly loved her family and friends and enjoyed helping others for what ever reason it was. She also enjoyed working in her garden and flowerbeds, reading, cooking and canning. She was a beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Mary Lois is survived by her sister, Annie B. Dobbins of Mansfield; two sons and daughters-in-law, Buford A. and Priscilla Hill of Lucas, OH, David A. and Susan Hill of Mansfield; three grandsons, Stephen A. Hill of Casagrande, AZ, Nathan A. Hill of Charlotte, NC, and Justin A. Hill of Mansfield; three great-grandchildren; her step-son and daughter-in-law, Ervin C. and Carol Anne Myers of Mansfield; a special nephew and his wife, Ken and Lee Sherman of Powell, OH; four sisters-in-law, Ola Zills and Wilma Tommy Eady of Decatur, AL, Mary Sanders of Hartville, AL, and Christine Sanders Flannery of Mansfield; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both of her husbands and her brothers, Ernest, Elmer, and Carl Sanders; three sisters, Mae Sanders Smith, Ola Sanders Priest, and Ida Sanders Brown; one niece, Ruth Sherman; one nephew, Charles Brown; and several brothers and sisters-in-law.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Friday from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Bruce Copley. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio.
