Mary “Colleen” (O’Leary) Wolfgang, 85, of Lucas, OH passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at her residence. She was born on September 11, 1940, in Mansfield, to the late Robert and Evelyn (Wilburn) O’Leary.
She was a 1959 graduate of Madison Comprehensive High School and furthered her education at the Institute of Banking. She began her career as a bank teller and steadily advanced in the banking industry, eventually serving as a bank manager. Over the years, she worked at Capital Economy Savings and Loan, Peoples Federal Savings and Loan, First Merit, Richland Trust, and Park National Bank.
Colleen deeply cherished her grandchildren and found great joy in spending time with her family. She was a longtime member of Diamond Hills Baptist Church. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, crocheting, crossword puzzles, canning, gardening, and crafting.
She is survived by her children, Christopher (Christine) Wolfgang and Kerri (Eric) Schmid; siblings, Donal O’Leary, Charles Albertson, Linda (Mac) Young, and Sharon Jones; grandchildren, Kara (Ryan) Schmid, Cody (Sonya) Schmid, Molly (Curtis) Thoma, Christal Wolfgang, Jewell (Scott) Ruttmann, Jacob Wolfgang, Kelsey Verdi, and Katelynn Lehner; great-grandchildren, Kamden, Averi, Ethan, Charlotte, Adalynn, Andrew, Schulyer “Skye”, Evelyn, Spencer, and Cadence; special friend, Theresa Coffindaffer, and sisters-in law, Patricia O’Leary and Shirley Dunn .
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dwight Wolfgang; stepmother, Dorothy Derringer, foster parents, Albert (Esther) Carne; siblings, Ronald O’Leary, Kathaleen O’Leary, and Robert O’Leary; grandparents, John (Elizabeth) O’Leary, and Thomas (Mary Jane) Wilburn.
Family and friends are invited to visitation on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Diamond Hills Baptist Church, 647 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield, with Pastor Dan Brown and Pastor Chris Thomas co-officiating. Burial will follow at Mansfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Diamond Hills Baptist Church.
