Mendy Mong

Mendy L. Mong, 36, of Hilliard, Ohio died at home Tuesday, March 2, 2004 of natural causes. Mendy was born April 6, 1967 in Mansfield, Ohio. She had been employed with Hometown Buffet in Mansfield. She was a graduate of Madison High School. Mendy was a member of Weight Watchers and loved to play Bingo.

She is survived by her mother, Evelyn Ingold Mong of Mansfield; father, Ray Mong of Mansfield; two sons, Ronnie and Curtis; four sisters and a brother-in-law, Misty Coleman and partner, Michele of Hilliard, Ohio, Lori & Richard Kryspin of Columbus, Missy Hedrick of Mansfield and Julie Mong of Columbus; a brother and sister-in-law, R.T. & Stacey Mong; maternal grandparents, Paul & Pauline Ingold of Mansfield; paternal grandmother, Esther Mong; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; her significant other of 7 years, Rick Lyon; and close friend, Wendy. She was preceded in death by her son, Joshua in 1985; her biological father, Rick Spence; and paternal grandfather, Robert Mong.

Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Thursday from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by Rev. James Cheatham. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
