
Norma J. Crawford, 72, of Mansfield died unexpectedly late Saturday evening, September 15, 2001, at her home. She was born June 26, 1929 in Wheelersburg, Ohio to Albert and Gertrude Stanley Courtright. Mrs. Crawford retired from People's Hospital where she worked as a cook. She was a member of Paradise Freewill Baptist Church and was the 1947 Homecoming Queen of Green Twp. High School. She loved to go to church, sing and was a great cook.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Mike Haley of Highlands, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Michael Lee and Sheila Crawford of Sumner, Washington; three grandchildren and their spouses, Jason and Amy Planthaber of Huron, Ohio, Carolyn Crawford and Daniel Crawford, both of Sumner, Washington; one great-grandson, Jared Planthaber; and several nieces and nephews. Her husband, Clinton Crawford preceded her in death on April 6, 1986. She was also preceded by her parents, son, Dennis, two brothers and one sister.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Wednesday, September 19 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be at the funeral home Thursday at 10:30 a.m. conducted by Rev. Ralph E. Smith, Jr. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
