Patsy Bayes

Patsy L. Bayes, 74, of Mansfield, died Saturday, February 14, 2009, at her residence. Born July 7, 1934, in Floyd County, KY, she was the daughter of James Harrison and Dorothy Ramey Hughes. A homemaker, Patsy was a member of Ruth Chapter #17, Order of Eastern Star and the United Baptist Church of Bellview. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and shopping.

Surviving are her husband, Jack Bayes, whom she married August 5, 1950; a daughter, Terri Rod Miller of Mansfield; two sons, Ken Dee Dee Bayes and Dave Erica Bayes both of Mansfield; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; four sisters, Betty Dale Prater of Akron, Cathy Ricardo Sanchez, Cheryl Ulrich and Toni Ralph Bennett all of Findlay; and three brothers, Ron Nancy Hughes of McComb, OH, Willis Gladys Hughes of Elida, OH and James Hughes of Gulf Port, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Patricia Lawrence; and two brothers, A.J. and Robert Daryl Hughes.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2009, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd, Mansfield, OH 44906, where Eastern Star services will be held during calling hours. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 19, 2009, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Ontario Cemetery.
