

Paul E. Florence, 72, of Mansfield, died late Tuesday evening, February 1, 2005, at his home. Born February 11, 1932, in Bridgeport, Ohio, he was the son of Gene and Daisy Barret Florence. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #341. He was a retired carpenter and also a retired State Prevailing Wage Officer. Paul especially enjoyed meeting his buddies at Porky's Drive In daily for their 'coffee club' and was an avid sports fan.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Riggenbach Florence; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn and Russ Ousley of Butler and Paula and Mark Sawyer of Mansfield; four grandchildren, Travis, Tyler and Trenton Ousley and Micki Sawyer; a niece and her husband, Mickey and Ken Ball of Columbus; and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gene Florence.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Friday, February 4 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Linda Lewis of the First Church of the Brethren. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio.
