
Paul Darrell Jack Jaynes, age 67, of Mansfield, Ohio died unexpectedly, Tuesday, March 11, 2003 at the Cleveland Clinic. Paul has gone home to be with our Heavenly Father. Born in Pomeroy, Ohio on March 27, 1935 to Fanny and John Jaynes, he came to Mansfield when he was five years old. He was an outstanding athlete at Newman, John Simpson and Mansfield Senior High schools. Paul retired from Hartman Electric in 1992. Prior places of employment were, Ohio Face Brick, Ohio Shale, Humphrey's, Gorman Rupp, Mansfield Tire and Rubber, and Ohio Brass. Paul was a gentle, kind and caring husband, dad, and grandpa. He enjoyed attending Little Flock Fellowship Church, Southern Gospel music, working on mowers, helping others and loved gardening.
Paul is survived by his wife of 47 years, Janet Sue Kissel Jaynes; son, Darrell and Crystal Jaynes and their children, Courtney Louise and Cory Michael Jaynes. Son, Michael and Kimberly Jaynes, and their children, Mandy Ann and her fiance', Ross Copeland, Brooke Emily, and Brittany Sue Jaynes; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Clara Kissel; brother-in-law, Harvey Letts; close cousin, Norma Price; and close friend, Elra Hall. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Susan Louise Jaynes; sisters, Elsie Arnett, Dorothy Cottrell, Georgia Wiseman, Hazel Letts, Betty Jaynes and brothers, Roy, Herman, and John Jaynes.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Friday, March 14 from 6-9 p.m. Friends may also call one hour prior to funeral services at Little Flock Fellowship Church, ½ mile east of Mifflin on old 30A. Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Services will be conducted by Pastor Mike Weaver. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Olivesburg, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan L. Jaynes Memorial Scholarship Fund in care of Richland Foundation.
