Paula Simon

Paula Simon, 36, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2011. She was born June 4, 1975 in Mentor, Ohio. Paula was a free spirit who lived life to the fullest and was kind to all the people she met. Possessing a comedian’s heart, she was always making others laugh. Although small in stature, she had a large personality and left an impression on everyone around her. Paula enjoyed going to Michigan and riding on the sand dunes. She even named her beloved dog, Duner, after her favorite activity. In her spare time she enjoyed shopping and gardening. Her family was most important to Paula and she cherished each moment she spent with them.

She is survived by her husband, Patrick Simon; sons, Colt and Dustin Simon; father, Paul (Vikki) Stano; sisters, Susan Adler, Paulette (Joel) LeMaster; brother, Christopher Stano; father-in-law, Evan Simon; brothers-in-law, Wayne (Martha) Simon, Steve (Diane) Simon, Paul (Cindy) Simon, Scott Adler, Robert (Traci) Simon, Denny (Cheryl) Simon; sisters-in-law, Sue (Ted) Croft, Lori (Mark) Reichert; aunt, Sister Diana Stano; step sister, Carey Sloan; aunt and uncle, William (Peggy) Roche; nieces, Haley Boyd and Kelli (Ralph) Begley; nephews, Christopher (Stephanie) Adler and Jeffrey Knackstedt; numerous nieces and nephews; and beloved family friends, Butch and Marge Travis. She was preceded in death by her mother, Loretta (O’Rourke) Stano; mother-in-law, Dorothy Simon; and grandparents, Paul and Francis Stano.

Friends and family may visit from 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 25, 2011 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Ontario Free Methodist Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Tony Viscioni will conduct the service.
