
Raymond Krall, 83, of Columbus, died unexpectedly Thursday, September 11, 2008, in Columbus. Born May 3, 1925, in Cleveland, he was the son of Charles and Amelia Spelko Krall. A veteran of the United States Marines, he served during World War II and was employed as a mechanical engineer. Raymond was a great all-around all state athlete and he enjoyed golfing and traveling in his later years. He was especially proud of his family and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are his children, Kathleen Joe Seemann of Cambridge, Ontario Canada, Beverly David Ballantyne of Novelty, OH, Julie Bob Franz and Greg Kathy Krall all of Mansfield, OH and Claudia Dale Mitchell of Hilliard, OH; his companion, Megan Galajda; his grandchildren, Rick Hayley Seemann, Scott Erin Ballantyne, Brett Ballantyne, Erin John Ashby, Ben Franz, Brady Franz, Jeff Zawodni, Jenelle Jeremy Thoman, Luke Mitchell and Kylie Mitchell; his great grandchildren, Leigh and Morgan Ashby, Ethan Ballantyne and Jennifer and Taylor Thoman; a sister-in-law, Barbara Krall; numerous nieces and nephews; and Megan's family his extended family, John Galajda, Erica Keith Kresina and Kenneth and Grant Kresina. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Frances Sokolowski Krall; and a brother, Charles Krall.
Friends may call from 1-3 and 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2008, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, following the 1-3 p.m. visitation, conducted by Rev. Chris Thomas. Full military services will be conducted following the service by the Richland County Veterans Burial Detail. Burial in Mansfield Memorial Park will be held at the convenience of the family.
