Richard Dillon, Sr.

Richard E. "Matt" Dillon, Sr. passed away on November 2nd, 2008 in Trenton, OH. He was born January 8, 1933 in Mansfield, OH to Harry E. Dillon and Constance Dickerson Dillon Gladden, who preceded him in death. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and spent his life working in the corrugated industry.

He is survived by his children and their spouses, Fred and Patricia Dillon Davidson of Louisville, KY, Richard E. Dillon and Myra Rummage Mangan Qamhawi Dillon of Willoughby, Ohio, William and Kathleen Dillon Howey of Michigan Center, MI, Phil and Judith Dillon Stout Gerace of Mansfield , OH, Matthew and Kimberly Dillon Weithman of New Washington, OH, Jarriett and Kay Marks Rummage of Bardstown, KY, Shawn David Dillon of Piketon, OH, and Stephen Dillon of Bardstown, KY; grandchildren, Patrick Davidson, Hannah Dillon, Tara Mangan, Alliyah Qamhawi, Sultan "Nano" Qamhawi, Heather Howey, Rachael Howey, Jeremiah Stout, Frasier and Jessica Stout Johnson, Grant Stout, Ryan Gerace, Tyler Gerace, Morgan Weithman, Emily Weithman, Dillon Weithman, Allison Weithman, Brittany Marks, Jarriett Rummage Jr., Shelby Dillon, Chase Dillon, and Jacob Dillon; and five great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his partner, Carolyn Durham of Trenton, OH; his first wife, Marie Schwartz Dillon of Mansfield; and his brother and sister-in-law, Patrick and Sharon Dillon; and a nephew, Jeff Dillon of Mansfield. He was preceded in death his step-father, Ivan Gladden, and his second wife, Glenda Grunden Rummage Dillon.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield, Ohio 44902. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
