Surviving are his children, Richard Jerels Jr. of Plymouth, Mary Teeter of Plymouth, Diane (William) Beatty of Crestline, Doty (Richard) Griefenstine of Crestline, Mary (Randie) Curtis of Great Falls, Montana, Luana Mayer of Bellville, and Danette (Robert) Hoover of Dayton; seventeen grandchildren; twenty four great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Along with his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne M. Jerels; son, Roy E. Jerels; sister, Joanne Rust; and brother, James Jerels.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 28, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for expenses.
