Robert O. Kirkpatrick, Jr., 81, of Mansfield, died Thursday, September 2, 2004, at his home after a brief illness. He was born January 22, 1923, in Knox County to Robert O. and Victoria Cline Kirkpatrick, Jr. He was the owner/operator of Bob's Trucking and also had a motor route for 20 years with the News Journal. Bob was a veteran of WWII serving with the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, J. Anita Kirkpatrick; a sister, Helen Ridenour of Columbus; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Palma Dysinger and Ron and Joclyn Miley and sons. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and six sisters.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Monday, September 6 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. J. Hudson Thayer. Burial will follow in Ankenytown Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio or a charity of the donor's choice.
