Robert W. Pugh, 82, of Mansfield died Wednesday September 24, 2003. Born in 1921 to the late Walter and Hasel Pugh. Also passing on before him were his wife Bertha Gates Pugh and a sister Marjorie Jona. 'Bud' was a January 1940 graduate of Mansfield Senior High. During WWII he served with the 4th Marine Division at Iwo Jima, Saipan, Tinian and other campaigns. He was a past Mason in Mansfield and retired from Westinghouse in 1982.
The family he leaves are grandsons, Todd Richards, Tracy Richards and wife, Dianna, 4 great granddaughters and one great grandson, a sister, Patricia Steen, sister in law and brother in law, June and Jack Wilcox, sister in law, Geneva Worthington, cousin, Evelyn 'Sis' Butler and daughter and son in law Toni and Terry Richards.
Dad, I know you will be happy again now that you are with mom. Thank you for being my mom and dad. I love and miss both of you.
A military gravesite memorial will be held Oct. 18th at 11:30 a.m. at Mansfield Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to Troy Twp. Fire Dept. 199 W. Main St., Lexington, Ohio 44904.
