
Roger Dean Ash, age 50, of Mansfield, died unexpectedly Sunday morning March 20, 2005 at home. Mr. Ash was born April 26, 1954 in Mansfield, Ohio living here most of his life. He was employed at USF Holland and formerly a 13 year employee of Consolidated Freightway. Mr. Ash was a member of Fathers Vineyard Church, Teamsters Local #40; a trustee board member of Fathers Vineyard Church, a graduate of Ontario High School and Dayton Bible College. He was an excellent basketball player, enjoyed music, drama and played congas in church.
Surviving are his wife, Donna Gardner Ash of Mansfield; two sons & a daughter-in-law, Andrew & Kathryn Ash of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, & Nathaniel Ash of Seattle, Washington; two daughters, Megan & Sarah Ash both at home; a sister, & brother-in-law, Donna & Bill Coleman of Seattle, Washington; a brother, Dwight Ash of Mansfield; three nephews, Evan Coleman of Seattle, Washington, Bailey & Taylor Glenn of Galion, Ohio; a niece, Brittney Glenn of Galion, Ohio; his parents, David & Ruth Enix Ash; his mother-in-law, Mary Jane Gardner of Mansfield; & a sister-in-law, Connie Gardner-Glenn of Galion, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Isaac & Armintie Enix; paternal grandparents, Delbert & Goldie Ash; a sister-in-law, Yvonne Letts Ash; and his father-in-law, Donald Gardner.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Thursday from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Fathers Vineyard Church, conducted by Rev. Spencer Moore. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
