
Roger L. Price, 67, of Mansfield, died March 18, 2007, at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday after an extended illness of heart and lung disease. Born April 26, 1939 in Sharples, West Virginia, the son of Herman and Ida Williams Price of Hugheston, West Virginia. Roger worked at General Motors for 32 years, retiring in 1992. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force. Prior to becoming ill, Roger enjoyed fishing, boating and camping at Mifflin Lake and Lake Erie.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Shirley Britt Price; daughter, Kathy Chris Wray of Mansfield; son, Roger Sherri Price of Mansfield; stepdaughter, Danita Britt and her fiancé, Joe Stowe of Mansfield; stepson, Bryon Sherry Britt of Bellville; seven grandchildren, Nicholas Wray of Mansfield, Kelsey and Kayla Price of Ontario, Dustin, Dalton, Sharecca Britt of Bellville, Brittany Britt of Mansfield, whom he called 'the baby'; three great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Mayson and Shayne Wray of Mansfield; three sisters, Brenda Barry Crisp, Judy Nutie Miller, all of WV, Joyce Gibbs of New Port Richey, FL; one brother, Ronald and Gail Price of Mansfield; numerous beloved family, nieces and nephews; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Hansell and Martha Webb of Mansfield; brother-in-law, Doyle Pam Webb of Mansfield; and sister-in-law, Debbie Webb of Olive Hill, KY. Preceding him in death were his parents and a grandson, Christopher 'Taco' Wray.
Friends may call Wednesday, March 21 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Clifford Earl Tackett officiating. Additional calling hours will be from 12-1 Thursday at the funeral home. Military graveside services conducted by Richland County Joint Veteran's Burial Detail will follow in Ontario Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. The family wishes to extend thanks to MedCentral ICU, Drs. Padival and Sringeri for the great care given to Roger during his illness.
