“Ronnie”, as he was called by family and friends, was educated in the Ohio Public Schools and later moved to Detroit, Michigan, in the 1960’s. Ronnie was then united in marriage to Beverly Brown and went to work for Burroughs/Unsisys Corporation for 30 years, from which he retired in June 2011. Ronnie and Beverly were later divorced. Ronnie then became ill and moved to Atlanta, Georgia, to live with his daughter.
Ronnie was a quiet person by nature, but he was a sharp dresser who definitely exuded a presence when he entered a room. He was always known for his Cadillac cars and enjoyed listening to jazz, playing pool and spending time with family in Ohio.
Ronnie leaves to cherish his memory, son, Ronald Keith Bradford and wife Libby Bradford of Columbus, Ohio; daughter, Patricia Watkins of Atlanta, Georgia; four granddaughters, LaKeisha, Monessa, Stephanie, and Alexis; three great-granddaughters, Youwanna, Yveona, Yaznia; brother, Albert Brown; and a host of family and friends. His parents, sister, Sandra and brothers, Gerald, Johnny, Cornell, Michael, Richard and Allen, all preceded him in death.
The family will receive friends from 9-10 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2015, in the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield, Ohio. The funeral service will follow at 10:00 a.m. with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Crestline, Ohio.
