Ronald Dunson

He worked full time for F & J Trucking until two days before finding out he would be diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. His remaining days were spent with WONDERFUL family in Florida, then at home with visits from extended family and friends.

He married Rebecca (Beckie Ladd) on January 11, 1969 at the Mayflower Congregational Church where his Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. A private burial will be held prior to the service.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, maternal and paternal grandparents, a baby brother and several aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his wife, Beckie; three sons and his "bonus daughters", Steven (Kristina) of Port Charlotte, FL, Scott (Carrie) of West Unity, OH and Michael (Angie) of West Unity, OH; one daughter, Jennifer (Willie) Weltin; grandchildren, Chelsie, Nicolette, Colton, Alexis, Julia, Ethan, Garrett, Bailey, Addisyn, Trent and Kianna; two brothers and their spouses, David and Lynelle of Martinsville, IN and Larry and Pam of Attica, OH; a brother-in-law, Frank Ladd, many nieces and nephews; his extended family and his Church family.

During his 68+ years on earth he was VERY BUSY ~ working since he was 15, graduating from Mansfield Senior High, joining the Army, 44 years of marriage and raising four children, spending time with 27 foster children, having the JOYS of grandchildren, two trips to Bolivia on Mission trips and many Church responsibilities, the latest, doing the sound room on March 17th.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 16, 2013 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Drive, Ontario.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Mayflower Congregational Church, Grace Brethren Church of Lexington or MedCentral Hospice.
