

Ronald Thomas Wilkinson, 53, of Mansfield, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Life Care Center of Medina after a brief illness. He was born March 4, 1961 in Mansfield to Ronald Ralph and Linda Hayes Wilkinson, and graduated from Malabar High School in 1979.
Growing up in Mansfield, Ron had a strong work ethic, starting very early at age seven delivering newspapers with his brother Ralph. In his younger years he usually held two jobs. He spent many years in the print shop business, most recently at D & S Creative Communications in Mansfield. Always dependable, he often helped out family and friends who needed a loan or a place to stay. He had integrity, always doing the right thing when it came to traditions and family. Quick with a wry, witty quip and the ever-present ball cap, "Ronnie" will be missed by all who knew him.
Ron was an active member of the Lexington Moose Lodge # 2511.
He was a true Ohio sports fan, enjoying following the Cleveland Indians, Browns, Cavaliers and OSU Buckeyes!
Ron is survived by his fiancé, Julia Campbell of Mansfield; son, Randal Wilkinson of Glenmont, Ohio; niece, Jolena (Matt) Kinsman of Clearwater, Florida, with baby Josephine on the way; father and stepmother, Ronald and Mary Wilkinson of Mansfield; brothers, Ralph Wilkinson of Mansfield and Russell (Debbie) Wilkinson of Charlotte, North Carolina; sister, Susan Luntz of Brunswick, Ohio; half brother, Richard McWilliams; uncles, Chuck (Shirley) Wilkinson of University Place, Washington and David (Brenda) Wilkinson of Mansfield; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Hayes McWilliams; brother, Randal Wilkinson; and beloved grandparents, Ralph and Susan Wilkinson Duffy and Gaylord and Helen Hayes.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at the funeral home with additional visitation one hour prior to the service, from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m.
