Rose Rose

Rose Sue Mateo Rose, 33, of Ashland, died Thursday, March 26, 2009, at Kingston of Ashland. Born June 20, 1975, in Tumoning, Guam, she was the daughter of Pedro S.N. and Rosario Castro Mateo. She was a member of the First Church of God and was employed at WalMart. Rose loved to cook, read and listen to music but her greatest joy was her family.

Surviving are her husband, William E. Bill Rose; her mother, Rosario C.M. Cruz; a sister, Catherine Mark Johnson of Lisbon, OH; nine brothers, Raymond Susan Mateo of Ashland, Paul Jocyln Mateo of Guam, Joseph Mateo of N. Baltimore, OH, Donald Jennifer Mateo, Franklin Mateo, Allan Cil Mateo all of Ashland, Francis Mateo of Connecticut, Nickolas Mateo and his fiancée, Samantha Oetjen and Jesse Amanda James Mateo; her mother-in-law, Carolyn Rose of Wapakoneta, OH; her father-in-law, William Rose; a sister-in-law, Tina Cabellero of Lima; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Judy Mendiola.

A gathering for family and friends will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2009, at First Church of God, 301 E. Liberty Street, Ashland, OH 44805. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family of Mrs. Rose.
