Ruby Gabor

Ruby Gabor, 88, of Mansfield, died January 16, 2010 at Winchester Terrace. Born May 6, 1921, in Richland County, Ohio, she was the daughter of John and Savilla Teeter Wise. Ruby enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, soap operas and game shows. She also loved to go out to lunch with her school class mates and sorority sisters from Sigma Kappa Gamma. In her free time she enthusiastically attended flea markets and craft shows. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Roger Sherburne of Mansfield, and Marsha Jerry Pearce of Bellville; grandchildren, Brad Julie Mosier Gabor, Michelle Sherburne, Kris Kim Sherburne, Curt Pearce, Doug Christina Pearce; great grandchildren, Derek Sherburne, Aleigha Gabor, Bradley Gabor, and Ayden Pearce; step great grandchildren, Shannon, Shawna, and Tia; six step great, great Grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her husband Peter Gabor in June of 1989, parents, step sister Maude Garverick, and two step brothers Franklin and Dale Wise.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2010, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2010, at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Dan Dickman. Burial will follow in Mansfield Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Monsignor Dunn Foundation.
