Ruth Browning

Ruth G. Browning, age 79, of 27 W. 2nd Street, died Monday, December 27, 1999 at MedCentral Mansfield following a brief illness.  Mrs. Browning was born May 28, 1920 in Olive Hill, Kentucky and has resided in the Mansfield area for the past six years.  She was a member of the Grace Missionary Baptist Church in Norwood where she was active as a Sunday School Teacher and served in the church choir.  She was a charter member of Norwood Republican Club, A.A.R.P. and the Republican National Committee.  Ruth enjoyed singing and writing poetry.

Surviving are two brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe B. & Helen Perry of Mansfield; and William & Charlene Perry of Lima, Ohio; and several nieces & nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, William H. & Edea B. Fannin Perry; her husband, Cecil L. Browning; one sister, Madge McGraw; and three brothers, J. Allen, R. Elwood and Coy L. Perry.

Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors one hour prior to funeral services which will be held on Wednesday December 29, 1999 at 1:00 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Glenn Phillips.   Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park.
