Ryan Douglas Kennard

Ryan Douglas Kennard, 42, of Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He was born April 12, 1975, in Shelby, Ohio, to Douglas Kennard and Kathy Pfahler.

A Mansfield resident most of his life, he had recently enjoyed the pleasure of working in South Carolina on solar panel installation for the past year. In his free time, he enjoyed reading and watching NASCAR racing. Ryan loved music of all kinds and was always ready for karaoke. When he wasn't enjoying music, you could be sure to find him on a quest of two in the game, World of Warcraft. A good man with a big heart, he was a wonderful and loving son and father. Ryan laughed often and lived joyfully, showering his children with unconditional love and care.

He is survived by his mother, Kathy Pfahler of Myrtle Beach, SC; father, Doug Kennard of IL; two sons, Ryan Michael Kennard and Dakota Kennard; two daughters, Briana Kennard and Chelsea Civay; two step daughters, Brooke and Ashley Christenson; a brother, Andy Kennard; a sister, Amber Kennard; two close cousins, Brent and Jason Sexton; grandmother, Margaret Reeder; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Ryan is preceded in death by his grandparents, Parnell and Ethel Kennard and Mary Conard; aunt, Rebecca Young; and uncle, George Young.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, April 22, 2017, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. in the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield.
