Sharon Beck

Sharon Lee Taylor McCorkle Beck, 64, of New Washington, died Monday, June 5, 2006 at Bucyrus Community Hospital after a seven year battle with cancer. Born April 6, 1942 in Olive Hill, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Gordon and Margaret Click Taylor. Sharon attended the Real Life Community Church. She loved spending time with her family and she loved to dance.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Beck of New Washington; one son, Ronald P. McCorkle of New Washington; one daughter and son-in-law, Candy and Roger France of Mansfield; one grandson, Mason P. France; three step daughters, Michelle and Forest Osborne of Attica, Krista and Jim Hammond of Greenwich, and Karla and Patrick Meisner of Lexington; four step grandchildren, Mikaylea, Andrew, Brooke, and Hayden; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Nora Taylor of Mansfield; two sisters and brother-in-law, Janet Jones, and Margaret and Dick Patterson, all of Mansfield; several nieces and nephews whom she loved very much; and a multitude of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Friends may also call one hour prior to the 11:30 a.m. funeral service Thursday at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Philip Green. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
