Sharon L. Petruna

Sharon L. Petruna, 71, of West Salem passed away at Summa Health System on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. Sharon was born on September 9, 1946 in Clarksville, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Earl and Mabel (Boyd) Carl.

Sharon was a devoted wife, loving mother and fantastic grandmother who lived for her family and cherished family day every Sunday. She went back to college in her late 60's, studying criminal justice. Sharon lived life to the fullest and was smart and spunky. Some things that Sharon enjoyed are the Cleveland Indians, cooking, bonfires, lighthouses, playing computer games, US history, crosswords, watching Jurassic Park and true detective and crime shows.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Robert "Bob" Petruna; daughters, Diona "Dee" Roland, and Pam (Mike) Berk; sons, Stephen Estvanic, Michael (Carol) Estvanic and Robert (Karyn) Petruna Jr.; seven grandchildren, Max, Ike, Jake, Madison, Faith, Joseph, and Phoebe; brothers, Earl (Cathy) Carl Jr., and Daniel Carl; son of the heart, Denny Huff; and a dear friend, Darlene (Pete) Koppa. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Pastor Randy K'Meyer will officiate a memorial service at 4pm on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Crosspointe Community Church, 7230 Lake Road Chippewa Lake, OH 44215. The Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family of Sharon Petruna.
