

A homemaker, she was a loving and caring person who loved her family deeply. Shirley was a member of Ontario United Methodist Church and enjoyed shopping, eating out, bird watching, flower gardening and listening to George Strait. She also enjoyed sporting events and activities of her grandchildren, traveling to Amish Country, collecting angels and loved her dog, Marley. She was proud of being a breast cancer survivor.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Fisher, whom she married April 2, 1960 in Cadiz, Ohio by Rev. Raymond Butler; a son, Michael (Tammy) Fisher of Ontario; a daughter, Michelle Fisher of Ontario; three grandchildren, Jessica Hudson (Erik Dillon) of Mansfield, Jimmy Hudson of Ontario and Michael Fisher of Mansfield; three great grandchildren, Makayla Oswalt, Colton Oswalt and Elijah Oswalt; four sisters, Dorothy (Carl) Bethel of Old Washington, Ohio, Beatrice (Emerson) Rarick of Lancaster, Ohio, Betty (Paul) Vale of Flushing, Ohio and Leona Retzer of Lancaster, Ohio; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gary and Shirley Fisher of Scio, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, James Retzer and her dog, Boots.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, Ontario. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at the funeral home conducted by Rev Peg Welch. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
