
Shirley Anne Snyder Pruner, 66, of Ontario died unexpectedly Tuesday, December 18, 2001 at MedCentral Mansfield. Mrs. Pruner was born August 8, 1935 in Mansfield, Ohio living in the area all of her life. She was a member of Mansfield Baptist Temple for 23 years where she served in the nursery and Kings Kids ministries and also participated in the Secret Sister program. She enjoyed watching sporting events and was a certified basketball referee. Mrs. Pruner was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She dedicated her life to serving her family by sewing, shopping and cooking large meals for every special occasion. She attended all her grandchildren's programs and collected pictures and videos of each one. She also enjoyed caring for her lawn and flowers.
She went home to be with the Lord one week following surgery. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Harold Wendell Pruner of Ontario; a son and daughter-in-law, Tim & Brenda Pruner of Crestline; three daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy Richter and Pam & Dave Smith, all of Ontario and Becky & John Kurtz of Lucas; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Roma & John Them of Mansfield and Janet Gerhart of Crestline; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Donald Snyder of Mansfield and Don & Pam Snyder of Phoenix, Arizona; a special aunt, Lula Seaman; 12 grandchildren, Jeremy, Andrew, and Bethany Smith; Tabitha, Brittany, Tiffany, and Brandy Pruner; Jenna Lakey; and Johnny, Jennifer, Kristin, and Kyle Kurtz; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chalmer & Grace Clark Snyder; and a brother, Daniel Snyder.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to funeral services to be held at Mansfield Baptist Temple Saturday at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Pastor Dale Adkins. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Olivesburg.
