
Shirley E. Heffelfinger Webb, 68, of Lexington died Wednesday afternoon, July 23, 2003. She was born May 3, 1935 in New Martinsville, West Virginia to Charles and Carrie George Burge. She was a Mansfield area resident most of her life and retired as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Shirley attended Wyandotte Freewill Baptist Church. She was a member of Butler Alumni Association and LPN Association, Division 5. Shirley enjoyed playing cards, dancing and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by a son, Truman Penn III of Mansfield; daughter, Michele Lane of Mansfield; six grandchildren, Sheri and Justin Perry, Amber Frazier, Matt Heflen, Lee Penn, Rachel Heflen, and Dustin Lane; three great-grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Rebecca and Dennis Stewart of Alabama; and several nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Burge; mother, Carrie Longshore; son, Michael Heflen; three infant children, Jeffrey, Gregory, and Cynthia Ann; her first husband, Truman Penn II; husband, Roger Webb; sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Skip Conroy; brother, Richard Dick Burge; and uncle, Bill George.
Memorial services for family and friends, conducted by Rev. Brian Phillips will be held Saturday, August 2 at 11:00 a.m. at Clearfork Valley Wesleyan Church, 1787 Snyder Rd. Butler. Burial will follow in Four Corners Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Wappner Funeral Directors.
