Stanley Temchack

Stanley Temchack, 88, of Ashland, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Oak Grove Manor in Mansfield. Born August 5, 1932 in Smithmill, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Wasco and Katherine (Lutzic) Temchack.

Stanley moved to Ohio in the late 1940's and was a veteran of the United States Army serving as a MP during the Korean War. He worked for General Motors for 16 years, F.E. Meyers for 29 1/2 years as well as being the owner of Stan's Concrete and Masonry for 16 years. He was a member of the VFW, Eagles Club, Moose Lodge and the AmVets.

He is survived by two sons, Gary Temchack of Ashland and Roy Temchack of Bradenton, Florida; a daughter, Valerie (Chris) Ortega of Polk, Ohio; grandchildren, Brandy (Jim) Baxter of New London, Ohio, Aric Ortega and Adam Ortega both of Polk, Ohio; and great grandchildren, Ashley Baxter and Bo Baxter both of New London.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joan (Lewis) Temchack whom he married January 26, 1957; and his son, Stanley Temchack, Jr.

There will be no services at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
