Stephen Hawkins

Stephen D. Hawkins, age 52, of Mansfield, died Thursday afternoon, November 15, 2007 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Hawkins was born March 12, 1955 in South Charleston, West Virginia. He was former employee at Newman Technology. An avid fisherman, he enjoyed playing and coaching softball and playing Bingo.

Surviving are his mother, Viola Hawkins; a son, James Hawkins of Mansfield; two daughters, Kashawn 'Kasie' Hawkins of Mansfield and Helen Parsons of Ashland; three grandchildren, Jamie, Alexis and Mark Hawkins of Mansfield; two sisters, Pat Price and Barb Rowe, both of Mansfield; five nieces, Denise, Nichole, Lisa, Kim, and Chrystal; six nephews, John, Howard, Roy, James, Roy and David; and an aunt, Laura Brunn of Decatur, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his father, Marcellus Hawkins; a brother, James Hawkins; two sisters, Ella Stewart, Deborah Hall; a nephew, Robert Rowe; and three aunts, Doris Luna, Beulah Thornton and Virginia Smith.

Friends may call from 6-9 p.m., Sunday, November 18 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Memorial services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with additional calling from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
