Born March 21, 1954 in Zanesville, Ohio she was the daughter of Forrest and Maxine (Shinn) Freeman. She had previously worked as a secretary with the Mansfield City Schools and enjoyed traveling with her husband, Curt, to Niagra Falls but her greatest enjoyment was her family.
She is survived by her husband, Curt Hughes; three sons, Aaron (Brittany) Hughes of Mansfield, Stephen (Crystal) Hughes of Delaware and Justin Hughes of Mansfield; two grandchildren, Alyssa Hughes and Aaron Hughes; and two brothers, Forrest and Edward Freeman. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors; 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2012 at the funeral home conducted by Rev. George Reece.
