Syd was a graduate of Ashland High School. He owned and operated his construction business. Syd enjoyed camping, fishing, mushroom hunting, motorcycles, kayaking and snow skiing.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. at Wappner Funeral Directors-Mansfield, 98 South Diamond Street, Mansfield, with Celebrant Vickie Kissel officiating. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. before the service.
