

Tom was born January 5, 1949 in Grayson, Kentucky one of four children of Vernard and Elizabeth Hampton. He graduated from Madison High School in the class of 1967, and went on to North Central Technical College following high school. He served in the United States Army at the Pentagon for 2 years. He married the love of his life, Jane Conner on November 13, 1971. Together they built a life they loved here in Mansfield, Ohio. Tom played bass guitar in several bands, many since high school and enjoyed mowing his yard.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Hampton; his sons, Scott Benjamin (Tina) Hampton and Luke Thomas (Laurel) Hampton; his brothers, Paul Richard Hampton and Henry John Hampton; and his three grandchildren, Laura, Jimmy, and Joey.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Pamela Griffin-Rice; many aunts and uncles; and his favorite dog, an English shepherd, Annabelle.
There will be no public services observed. However, if you would like to honor Tom, a memorial contribution may be made in his name to the Richland County Dog Shelter, 810 N. Home Rd., Mansfield, OH 44903. Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services by Wappner is honored to serve the Hampton family.
