

Tricia Ann (Crotty) Carpenter, 51, of Mansfield, passed away Thursday evening, June 9, 2016, at Hospice of North Central Ohio. She was born February 20, 1965, in Mansfield, Ohio, and was a lifelong Mansfield resident.
She graduated from Mansfield Senior High in 1983. Shortly after graduation, she served in the U.S. Air Force for a brief period of time. Tricia worked at Newman Technology for 10 years as a press operator.
Tricia was very artistic and enjoyed drawing, sketching and painting. She enjoyed camping and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Tricia liked watching NASCAR and old sitcoms and movies. She was an excellent mother, and took wonderful care of her children, setting a shining example of unconditional love and acceptance.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Thomas Carpenter, who has been the love of her life for 24 years; two children, Benjamin Carpenter and Camryn Carpenter, both of Mansfield; a step son, Corey Carpenter of Mansfield; a step granddaughter, Baylee Carpenter of Mansfield; step mother, Carol Crotty of Ontario; two sisters, Terri (Daryl) Hummel of Troy, Ohio, and Traci (William) Miller of Ontario; a brother, Thomas Crotty of Chicago, Illinois; two step sisters, Barb (Larry) Caudill of Ontario and Anita Allen of Columbus; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas C. Crotty; and mother and step father, R. Judith Hines Allen and Robert Allen.
A Gathering of family and friends will be held Monday, June 13, 2016, from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m. Burial in Mansfield Memorial Park will be held at a later date.
