

Wade Worthington Jr., 81, passed away peacefully at home on September 23, 2025. Born on May 3, 1944, in Grayson, Kentucky, to the late Wade Worthington Sr. and Mary E. (Wadkins) Worthington, Wade spent most of his adult life in Mansfield, Ohio, where he built a life full of hard work, deep love, and cherished memories.
Wade began his career at Mansfield Aircraft and later spent time at Rockwell International in Columbus before returning home to work for John Garber Gravel. He was a dependable worker, known for his no-nonsense approach and quiet dedication.
A true Cleveland Browns fan, Wade faithfully followed the team through every high and low—though he wasn’t shy about letting them know when they deserved a good grumble. In that way, he was a Browns fan through and through.
For 36 beautiful years, Wade shared his life with his beloved partner, Georgia L. Myers. Together, they made their home in Lexington, Ohio, until Georgia’s passing in 2014. They enjoyed camping trips, watching The Andy Griffith Show, and spending time with their grandchildren—who always brought joy and laughter into their lives.
Wade is survived by his loving and loyal children; daughters, Tracey R. Fast of Ashland, OH, Wendy (Jerry) Bond of Mansfield, OH, and Sandy Anderson of Westerville, OH., and son, Dwayne Worthington of Lancaster, OH, He was a proud grandfather to Parker Weitzel, Payton Fast, and Kyle Bond. He also leaves behind his favorite aunt, Faye, along with many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly and many other treasured family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Hubert Worthington and Shannon Worthington; his sister, Betty Gilliam; and the love of his life, Georgia.
A special thank you goes to his neighbor and friend, Josh, for his kindness, care, and support over the years.
Per Wade’s request, there will be no formal services. In his memory, please take a moment to hug your loved ones and give them a call—because you never know when it might be the last time.
