

A veteran of the United States Army, he retired from the United States Postal Service. He was a member of Lincoln Heights Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening and reading but he especially loved fishing and camping in Cherokee, North Carolina which was his favorite spot.
He is survived by three sons, Gary (Bobbie) Diamond of Mansfield, David G. (Cheryl) Diamond of Kilbuck, Ohio and Steven D. Diamond of Mansfield; eight grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey (Charlton) Diamond; a brother, Rudyard Diamond; and two sisters, Susan Diamond and Marion Kinsel.
Friends may call from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, April 14, 2013 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, Ontario. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 15, 2013 at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Mike Wilson. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
