Barbara Jean Fortino

Barbara moved many times in her childhood from Illinois, to Kentucky, to Kansas, back to Illinois and finally out to Arizona. She graduated from Naperville North High School in 1981, where she was a member of the badminton and Track and Field teams.

Barb loved Halloween and took special joy in decorating for all holidays, bringing color and celebration into every season. A devoted sports fan, her favorite teams were the Chicago Bears and the Kansas City Chiefs. She was also known for her baking and especially her deviled eggs.

Barb was preceded in death by her mother, Jean Frances Fortino, and her father, John Richard Fortino and Brother John Daniel Fortino. She is survived by her sisters, Joan M. Rebaza Fortino and Catherine A. (Stephen) Garris; nephew Jeremy B. (Michelle) Luckett; niece Sophia M. Rebaza; great niece Morgan A. Luckett; and great nephew Alexander B. Luckett.

A Memorial will be held at Sunflower Community Center, 9401 N. Sunflower Park Drive, Tucson, AZ 85743, on March 6, 2026, beginning at 4:30 pm.
