

Edgar A “Ned” Kelly passed away in Tucson, Arizona on September 2, 2025. Ned was a devoted father, a tremendous friend and a loving family member. Ned’s passing is a true loss to anyone and everyone who ever had the pleasure of knowing him. Ned worked at Gables Engineering, Inc. for over 32 years. Ned’s intelligence, sense of humor, loyalty and professionalism made him a valued employee and a treasured colleague. Ned was frugal with praise but not with love and would debate you until you agreed with him or gave up. He was an avid reader and history buff, a mixed martial arts enthusiast, and was kind and compassionate. Ned was born in Miami, Florida where he resided for much of his life. He lived in San Antonio, Texas for several years and worked at Hagee Ministries and Global Evangelism Television. After retiring last September, Ned moved to Tucson, Arizona and was a member of the Fountain of Life Lutheran Church and was volunteering at the Haven Totes food pantry. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter Jennifer and is survived by his son John also of Tucson, Arizona who he adored and was his best friend. Ned is also survived by his sisters, nieces and nephews who include: Mary Susan, deceased, (and Phil) Twomey of Palatine, Illinois and nieces Kelly (and Bill) Edison and their children Charlie and Andy of Palatine, Illinois; and Susan Twomey of Boston, Massachusetts, and Diana (and Josh) Vance of Palatine, Illinois and their children Abby and Claire; Kathy Clark of San Antonio, Texas and nephews Chad (and Melanie) Clark of San Antonio, Texas and their children Lauren, Cole and Alexandra; and Cody (and Kate) Clark of San Antonio, Texas and their daughter Charlotte; Carol Miller of League City, Texas and nephews Robby (and Julie) Miller of League City, Texas and their children Jameson, Quinn and Thatcher; and Russell (and Elizabeth) of Wiesbaden, Germany and their children Christian and Remi; Elizabeth (and Tom) Goeller of Nashville, Tennessee and niece Megan (and Matthew) Walden of Nashville, Tennessee and nephew Chris Goeller of Palatine, Illinois. A Remembrance of Life celebration will be held at Glen Haven Memorial Park’s Garden of Remembrance, 2300 Temple Drive, Winter Park, Florida at 10:00 am on Saturday January 24, 2026.
