Dorothy Fay Williams passed away on July 25th 2019 at Seton Highland Lakes Hospital in Burnet TX at the age of 80 years old. Born to Odeliouse Dempsey (O.D.) Pimpleton and Mary Magdalena Allen Pimpleton on January 26, 1939, in Kelly, Louisiana. Dorothy had five brothers by the names of: Herbert Lee Pimpleton (departed), John Henry Pimpleton, Leonard Thomas Pimpleton, Eddie Ray Pimpleton, and Gary Darnel Pimpleton (departed), as well as six sisters by the names of: Lola Mae Pimpleton (departed), Eldora Pimpleton (departed), De Louis Williams (departed), Velma Ruth Heard, Martha Magnetta Williams, and Donnie Marie Starks.
Dorothy Williams dedicated her life to Christ at the age of nine at Morning Star Baptist Church in Clark, Louisiana. Thereafter, she became a member as well as a faithful servant in usher ministry at the age of 16 at New Life Baptist Church in Joyce, Louisiana. Dorothy Williams attended and graduated from Pine Crest High School in Louisiana in 1958.
Dorothy Williams married Berry Williams, Jr., on November 10, 1958. Berry Williams, Jr., and Dorothy Fay Williams later became parents of seven children. Belva Glen Williams (departed), Tony Williams, Annette Williams, Delinda Williams (departed), Jacquelyn Y. Newbury (departed), Kathy Manus, and Marylyn Lopez. Together they journeyed to Marble Falls, Tx in 1958 and then later moved to Richland, WA in 1971.
Finally settling in Marble Falls, TX in 1975, where she continued to raise her seven children who she watched grow into adults. She’s always played a major role in her children’s lives, praying and encouraging them to do what’s right. Dorothy Williams became a faithful member of St. Frederick’s Baptist Church in 1977. She was a faithful member of the usher ministry and mission outreach at St. Frederick’s Baptist Church, as well as a dedicated and well-loved Sunday school teacher whose hymn always remained that “Jesus Loves All the Little Children”.
Dorothy Williams will continue her residency in Marble Falls, TX after raising seven of her own as well as five grandchildren: Jeannie Marie Smith, Larry Charles Washington, Marquita Fay Lorrain Pride, Jermi Tyron Washington and LaAndria Shadae Washington. With a host of Grandchildren: Shanequa Green, Christa Wilson, Sandy Wilson, Tasha Williams, John Wayne Dooley, Kyla Dooley (departed), Jessica Dooley, Phylicia Metcalf, Victoria Rodriguez, Ray Rodriguez, Thomas Rodriguez, Alex Rodriguez, Chance Williams, Emanuel Camero. Dorothy leaves to cherish her memory her (7) children, (21) grandchildren, (47) great grandchildren and (2) great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
