Bob had a great life with many adventures from surfing in Corpus Christi as a young man to living his prime years in the seventies where he found his love for music and became a very accomplished self-taught musician. Bob was raised Presbyterian, but throughout his adult life he pursued his first love of serving God through music ministries at various churches in Austin and Marble Falls, including Christian Reformed, Baptist, Methodist, and Non-Denominational. Bob had an early career in the Oil and Gas industry, where he worked out in the oil field with his brothers. He went back to school to train in AutoCAD Drafting & Design and worked in the engineering field for 16 years before becoming a certified teacher in 2000. He then taught at Burnet High School for 14 years, implementing the AutoCAD/Engineering program in the Career and Technology department, and worked down the hall from his wife, Jann until he retired from teaching in 2014.
His love for the Lord was unbreakable throughout his life and he believed God led him to meet his wife, Jann, who he always said was the best thing that ever happened to him. Together, they had two children, daughter Jessica and son Ross and he became “Pop” to two grandchildren, Bayleigh and Beau. He was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather and was always patient, understanding, selfless, kindhearted, and loving, never once leaving his family’s side.
Bob was preceded in death by both of his Parents, his brother David Evans, and his brother-in-law Caspar Real.
Bob is loved and will be missed by his wife, Jann Evans, daughter Jessica Davis and husband, John and grandchildren, Bayleigh and Beau, his son, Ross Evans as well as his brother Michael and wife Kristy, brother Tim and wife Susie, sister Sandra Real, and sister-in-law Tasha Evans as well as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephew.
The service will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Clements Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls. There will be food and visitation at the Evans’ residence after the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you donate to Bluebonnet Methodist Preschool at the Marble Falls First United Methodist Church, 1101 Bluebonnet Dr., Marble Falls, TX 78654. The preschool was near and dear to Bob’s heart, as his grandbabies go there and Jann helped start the program 17 years ago.
