Cecil “Scotty” lived for 82 strong years and is survived by his three children, Cecil Scott Jr, Wyatt Dean and Vickie Sue. He has 10 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
After meeting the love of his life at 12, they married at 19 and moved to NJ to begin life as a Service Man in the Coast Guard. Soon with children and a move back “home” to Odessa, Texas he found himself as many things; preacher, elder, teacher, floral nursery owner and Glass Man.
Throughout his life Cecil designed pieces of equipment for NASA, volunteered and lived on the Battle Ship Texas State Park and ran his own Business as Old Man Trucking.
Cecil and Peggy (Peaches and Cream) remained married for 50 long years until her death in 2007. Cecil will be remembered for his strong will, love for his family and God as well as his feisty spirit.
