Charles Allen Fulgham passed away peacefully at the age of 81 on March 30th, 2026, at his home in Highland Haven. He was born on November 14th, 1944, to Dempsey and Kathleen Fulgham in Temple, Texas, and grew up alongside his brothers, Bob, Ted, and Floyd (Bud) Fulgham.
Right out of high school, Charles served in Vietnam for two years. For many years afterwards, Charles worked for IBM. Once he retired in 1992, he worked as an auctioneer, a Pflugerville ISD bus driver, and finally at the Texas DPS, where he retired for the second time after twelve years. He also played softball and was involved in Boy Scouts, 4-H, and Little League baseball. He spent his free time showing his boundless love for his family and the outdoors.
Charles truly lived life to the fullest. He loved to be in the beautiful backyard garden with his wife, Connie, or hunting and fishing with his children, grandchildren, and other fishing buddies. He was kind, full of infectious enthusiasm, a friend to everyone, and would always drive his golf cart around with his dog Buddy to feel the sunshine and say hello to anyone in the neighborhood who saw him. Charles is survived by his wife, Connie Fulgham, and his children, Lori Williams, Keith Fulgham, and his wife, Holly Moore. His legacy lives on through his grandchildren — Bradley Williams and his wife, Katelyn Williams; Andrew Williams; Calder Fulgham and his wife, Aubry Fulgham; Olivia Bresser; and Brianna Fulgham and his great-grandchildren, Lilly Williams, Mark Williams, Evelyn Williams, Natalie Williams and Tate Fulgham.
He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Kathy Payne and Rhonda Behrens and her husband Gregg Behrens; his nephews, Russ Fulgham and his wife, Leanne Fulgham, Reece Fulgham, and his wife, Leslie Fulgham, Jim Payne and his wife Stephanie Payne, and Joe Freydenfeldt and his wife Shannon Freydenfeldt; and his nieces, Linn Payne, and her husband, Troy-David Phillips, and LaGina Evans and her husband Steven Evans, along with many other beloved family members.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Dempsey and Kathleen Fulgham, his brothers Bud Fulgham, Bob Fulgham, and his wife Joyce Fulgham, and Ted Fulgham and his wife Joyce Fulgham; his niece, Heather Behrens; his daughter-in-law, Jennifer Fulgham; and his brothers-in-law, Dick Payne and Van Freydenfeldt.
