Charlie James Maugham

Charlie James Maugham passed away June 28, 2016. He was born on December 12, 1933 in Mudd, Texas to James (Jim) and Ollie Maugham. He married Virgie Bell Newman, the love of his life, on October 5, 1957. They moved to Marble Falls where they had 58 years of marriage which produced 6 children, 4 boys and 2 girls.

If you ever stopped by to see him he would ask you to come on in and if he was watching a western, he would like for you to watch it with him or if you smoked he would ask you if you wanted a cigar. He also enjoyed cutting the grass or working in the garden. During his working years, he worked for the City of Marble Falls, and he also worked building houses with Jim Carpenter and Tommy Long. He even worked with Ralph and Tichie Giesecke.

He is preceded in death by his parents, along with his sister Annie Davis and brother Willie Maugham.

He is survived by sons James and wife Rhonda, David and wife Jannie, Ralph, Billy and wife Bambi, daughters Charlene and Peggie and husband Bobbie Collins, grandchildren Heather, Stephanie, Anthony, Misty, Tana, Cody Shane, Jaklyn, Melanie, Tana, Matthew, Stormy, Misty and Skylar, along with many great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 5 – 7 pm at Clements Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 10:00 am at Clements Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel and internment at Marble Falls City Cemetery.
