

Don Copple, 66, of Horseshoe Bay, Texas passed away on May 29, 2013. He was born Feb. 22, 1947 in Louisville, Kentucky. He served in the Navy from 1965-1969 with two tours in Viet Nam. Don was an electrical engineer in charge of high voltage power-distribution for the entire Ed Bluestein Motorola Site in Austin, Texas before retiring in 1998.
Don's passion was building. His latest project was building a dream home for his soul mate on their property in the community of Sandy Harbor where he served as the Fire Chief for the Sandy Harbor Volunteer Department and was on the Board of Directors for the Sandy Harbor P.O.A. He dabbled in solar and wind technology in his spare time, always thinking about the future. He enjoyed being on his boat on lake LBJ with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife and soul mate of 17 years, Emily Copple of Horseshoe Bay, Texas son, Curtis Copple, mother, Helen Copple-Lively and step- father, Beaulis Lively, brother Roger Copple, sister, Brenda Copple Boulais ,father-in-law & mother-in-law , Walter and Judy Collins, brothers-in-law & sisters in law: Vivian Wilson, David and Sharon Collins, Linda and David Hamby, and Chip and Suzie Collins. Don had numerous nieces and nephews, all who loved him and grew up with the notion that "Uncle Don Knows Everything!” He is also survived by other relatives and close friends. He also leaves behind his precious dog, Bailey.
He is preceded in death by his father, Alfred Eugene Copple and nephew, Shane Patrick Copple.
Visitation was Saturday, June 1st, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. at Clements-Wilcox Chapel in Marble Falls, TX. Funeral service was Sunday, June 2nd, 2013 at 2 p.m . at Clements-Wilcox Chapel in Marble Falls. A military interment will be held Tuesday, June 4th at 2:30 p.m. at Fort Sam, San Antonio, Texas.
