Dorothae Louise Ozias, 88, of Marble Falls joined her Lord late Sunday, April 19, 2015 following complications of a chronic illness. She was born August 28, 1926 to A.C. and Lillian Moore Rucker in Tucumcari, New Mexico.
As an adult, she lived in San Diego, CA and later in Cedar Rapids, Iowa where she worked as a meat cutter for Wilson Packing Company. She and Jesse Rayworth (JR) were married 50 years before his death in 2004. They retired in 1976 to Lake Buchanan to be closer to his son’s family in Austin. Dorothae enjoyed nature photography during their long summer camping trips to northern mountains, lakes, and even the Columbia Icefield.
Dorothae was committed to her faith and active in the Foursquare and Assembly of God church communities. She published a gospel song: On Thee I Call. She was known for being positive and friendly and willing to try most any craft by neighbors at Lake Buchanan and later at Highland Oaks and Gateway Gardens when she moved to Marble Falls.
She was the last of her mother’s seven children-the last sister passing on Good Friday, 2015. She was also predeceased by her step-son, Dr. Douglas Ozias in 2013. She is survived by Douglas’ widow, Jan Marie Ozias, son Orin, and granddaughter Jocelyn. Her dear church friends were family in her heart.
At her request, a private service only will occur. We thank the staff of Gateway Gardens, Marble Falls EMS, and Seton Williamson County for their skilled care. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to First Assembly of God (96 Main St), Marble Falls or Abundant Heart Ministries (7222 W FM 1431) Granite Shoals.
A memorial service will be held in conjunction with Sunday Evening services at First Assembly of God Church, 96 Main St., Marble Falls, Texas, Sunday, April 26, 2015.
